Because we custom build, we can use any wood type. We prefer a board material that is stable and maintains its dimensions without warp or crack. We use only US manufactured industrial grade particleboard as a substrate with melamine or wood veneer. Our raised panel door and drawer fronts are thermo-foiled MDF (medium density fiberboard) substrate to prevent warping and panel separation. We do offer wood solutions that can be custom stained to match your unique requirements.

Closet Tec offers particleboard because it is a solid substrate that is dimensionally stable, does not warp, crack or peel and is less expensive than wood based solutions. The surface is melamine and is offered in both solid color and a variety of wood grains. The finished product is easy to maintain and structurally stable.
