Organizing your closet can seem like a daunting task. Here are some simple tricks for you to use to lessen the burden of closet organization and save you time in the long run!
1. Swap out clothes by season.

Keeping clothing displayed in your closet that are out of season is just a waste of space. Go through your closet at the start of each season and put clothing and shoes that you won’t be wearing for a while out of the way. This will leave your closet looking less cluttered and will make it easier to access the clothes you’re looking for!
2. Get rid of stuff!

Be honest with yourself. While you may have rocked that acid washed jean jacket at the Poison concert, but it’s time to say goodbye. A good rule of thumb to go by with clothing is if you haven’t worn it in over a year, you don’t need it. Gather together everything you don’t wear and donate it to a charity like Salvation Army. Not only will getting rid of clothes help out a charity, it will also give you more closet space to fill with the season’s newest looks.
3. Get a tiered shoe rack.

You’ll be amazed at the difference organizing your shoe collection will make. Keeping your shows strewn our on your closet floor not only takes up a lot of unnecessary space but also adds to the clutter. Simply adding a shoe rack will give your closet a more put-together feel while cutting out the time you would have spent searching for matching shoes.
