Spring cleaning.

To some people, those words are therapeutic, an escape to reorganize your life. However, you are not one of those people. Those two words are a deathly combination that means additional stress and frustration. Anti-spring cleaner, you are not alone; most of those happy go lucky spring cleaners are simply hiding their distaste of cleaning, well, everything.

Luckily, there is a solution that can turn you into a genuine happy-go-lucky spring cleaner. Follow these simple tips and spring cleaning will become surprisingly fun rather than strenuous.

1. Set Goals. Don’t blindly start whipping through your closet without a game plan. Know exactly what you want to accomplish and what you want the end result to look like. You’ll thank yourself when your clothes are in neat piles and not scattered all over your floor.

2. Use Pinterest. Pinterest never ceases to amaze me. Pinners have thought of every possible life hack one could image. Looking to organize your desk drawers? Search desk drawer organization for unique DIY tips that will simplify your life in ways you never imagined.

3. Split it up. The key to spring cleaning is to not dive in head first. It’s named after a season for a reason: it takes time. Tackle one project at a time, devote only a few hours at a time, and welcome breaks. Regain your sanity, regroup, and then take on your next task.

4. Reward Yourself. When you accomplish one cleaning mission, celebrate it! Set a reward ahead of time that you’ll be working toward. That will make the victory even sweeter and make you work even harder toward that next organization goal.
