How to Organize Your Office: 3 Simple DIY Tips

There's nothing worse than a messy desk!
There’s nothing worse than a messy desk!

Finding simple ways to organize your office can make a huge impact on your productivity. When an office is messy, it’s easy to lose important mail and documents and to get distracted from the work you should be doing. Here are three of the simplest things I have found that help me keep my office organized on a daily basis:

1. Pencil holders. You wouldn’t think it would make such a difference but keeping your many pens and pencils {and other assorted objects} in one place can clear a lot of the clutter from your desk.

2. Re-use. I L-O-V-E the concept of saving something from the trash and reusing it for organization. Altoid tins are great for storing little things and tucking them neatly away in your desk drawer.

3. Cork, dry erase and black boards. I love having all my to-dos in one place. A quick glance at the calendar and daily to-do list and organized papers instantly puts me in a easy working mood. There are so many ways you can arrange cork, dry erase and black boards and you can always change it up to keep your decor fresh.

What do you do to stay organized?
